JOHN MIKEL OBI
Full name; John Michael Nchekwube
Obinna, he was born in Jos on April 22, 1987. Chelsea and Super Eagles

salary of 5.8million US Dollars (924m Naira) per annum.
John Obi Mikel retained his place as
one of Africa’s and Nigeria’s richest soccer players after Ventures
Africa informed the public that the Chelsea star earns a whooping sum of
N924million annually.
According to a financial survey carried
out, Mikel makes $110,000 (about N17.5m) a week and one of the highest
paid Nigerian footballers. His endorsers include Pepsi and Samsung,
while his career spans through Nigeria, South Africa, Norway and
England.
CLARENCE PETERS
Clarence Abiodun Peters, the CEO of
Multimedia Content Creation Company Capital Dreams Pictures. Born in
Ibadan, Nigeria with the genes of legendary musician Sir Shina Peters
and actress Clarion Chukwurah, Clarence Peters aka Capital is the most
sought after director in the industry at the moment.
He has directed videos for songs like
9ice’s Street Credibility, Shayo by Durella, Nobody Test Me by the Choc
Squad ( M.I and co.), Only Me by 2baba himself, Remember by Bracket
featuring 2face, and Bad Guy P by L.O.S. At just 28, He has already won
director of the year at the Nigerian Music Video Awards 2008 and the
best music video at the Hip Hop world Awards 2010 and he is well known
when it comes to music in Nigeria.
He is so popular that 3 of every 5
videos seen on TV is directed by him.Clarence attended Government
College, Ikorodu and Camp David Academy Secondary School, Ogba. As a
kid, Clarence worked as an actor with Owner of SoundCity, Tajudeen
Adepetu for two years. He began his directing career at the age of 18,
when he directed 40 episodes of the TV series “Everyday People”.
He then furthered his career by moving
to south africa where he attended the City-Varsity Summon Television
Academy in Cape Town and gained a degree in directing and
cinematography. He returned to Nigeria to direct his first music video,
Fuji by Darey. He founded Capital Hill record label with his secondary
school mate and friend, Tha Suspect who is also an artiste under the
label.
DON JAZZY
Michael Collins Ajereh, born in November
26, 1982 in Umuahia by Delta parents. Former CEO of Mo’ Hits Records
label founded in 2004 and the present CEO of the Mavin Records label
which he established in May 2012 after his split up former Mo’Hits
partner, D’banj. His family moved to Ajegunle city in Lagos state where
he was raised, and graduated from Federal Government College Lagos.
He went on to study Business Management
at the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma in Edo state. Don Jazzy travelled
to the United Kingdom in 2000 after he was invited by his uncle to come
and play the drums in a neighbourhood church.
Mavin records boss, Don Jazzy seems to
be enjoying a fruitful romance with Samsung and Promasidor, makers of
Loya Milk, after sealing a N50 million deal with Loya Milk.
UTI NWACHUKWU
Uti Nwachukwu, a Nigerian actor, TV
presenter, model and MC, popular as one of the 12 housemates on the
third season of the reality television show, Big Brother Africa, in
2008, although he was evicted early into the reality show, on Sunday 5
October 2008. Uti made a great comeback to Big Brother by winning the
$200,000 prize money. He was born August 3rd 1982.
P-SQUARE
Peter and Paul Okoye Pop duo and
identical twins were born on 18th, November 1981 in Lagos, Nigeria. They
hail from Anambra State, Ifite Dunu LGA. P-Square began their journey
to stardom in St. Murumba secondary school, a small Catholic school in
Jos, Nigeria.
The Identical twins joined their school
music and drama club where they began singing, dancing, and miming
songs by MC Hammer, Bobby Brown and Michael Jackson.They later formed a
group of their own called “P Square”.
This Pop duo are known for their
flamboyant lifestyle, they recently broke into the International scene,
when they were signed to Konvict music before they later recorded the
remix to beautiful onyinye featuring Rick Ross. In 2010, Peter and Paul
Okoye won the KORA award for Best Africa Artiste in 2010, collecting a
$1 million prize in the process.
Shortly after, the duo got an
endorsement deal with Globacom telecommunications worth about 240
million naira ($1.5 million) for four years. Their seven-city American
tour in 2010 earned them a whopping $1m and has also built a house
valued at 300 million naira ($1.9 million). The bulk of their wealth
comes from concerts, especially in Africa. They have sold over 14
million copies of their CDs since 2005.
BANKY W
Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E)
Chairman, Banky W ( Olubankole Wellington) was born on March 27, 1981 in
the US to Nigerian parents, his family moved back to Nigeria when Banky
was 5 years old, he began singing in his church choir at the age of 8.
He has won some major endorsement deals
with Etisalat, Coca Cola Nigeria’s World Cup theme song and Microsoft’s
Anti-cyber crime campaign. He is definitely the brain behind the success
story of the EME Group.
As a businessman and record executive,
Banky W has enjoyed tremendous success and also launched his acting
career with a recurring role on the final season of MNET’s hit TV show
Jacob’s Cross. Banky W has become one of the richest entertainers in the
industry, making the bulk of his wealth from gigs, where he charges
between 2.5 million naira ($15,800) and 3 million naira ($19,000) per
show and performs three to four times each week.
D’BANJ
Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as
“The Koko Master” was born on June 9, 1980 inj Zaria although he hails
from Shagamu in Ogun State. He is a songwriter, an entertainer, known
for playing the harmonica.
D’banj was introduced to the harmonica
by his late older brother, Femi Oyebanjo, who died in a plane crash at
age seventeen. Apart from his music interests, D’banj has moved into
other sectors. His interests include Koko Mansion, a TV reality show,
Koko Lounge, an upscale hangout in Lagos and the UK, Koko Foundation, a
charity, and Koko Mobile.
There are also rumours that he is set to
launch Koko Records. The bulk of his money comes from endorsements. His
endorsement deal with Globacom telecommunications cost 70 million naira
($442,000). He has a multi-million naira endorsement with energy drink
Power Fist, a deal with the makers of the Virgin Colour soft drink and
another huge deal with a popular jeweller.
Another endorsement which runs into
millions is with Chris Aire, with D’banj acting as the face of his
watches. He collects between 5 million naira ($31,500) and 7 million
naira ($44,200) as performance fee for local gigs, and even bigger fees
across the rest of Africa and in the US and UK. Like his old boss, Don
Jazzy, D’banj also bagged a recording deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D
Music.
OLISA ADIBUA
Olisa Adibua is definitely one of the
prominent names in the radio and television industry, Olisa is not only
one of the biggest personalities but has also been at the cutting of
African electronic media and entertainment since 1988 with more than 23
years experience in television, radio, film, and live events.
He started his career with the Nigeria
Television Authority (NTA) as a presenter, producer and director of
entertainment programmes like “Tops of the Pops” and “Super Sounds”.
From 1998 to 2008, Olisa hosted the
number one afternoon drive time radio show on 96.9 Cool FM till he moved
in 2009 to launch the current No. 1 radio station in Nigeria, THE BEAT
99.9FM, as the morning drive-time host and Programme Director, a role he
also performs for a Pidgin English radio station, Naija FM 102.7. As a
co-founder and executive director of Storm 360. Olisa is a part of a
formidable team that is steering a company that is a leader in the
